About Rocky Mountain High Wheels
The original High Wheeler was popular from 1872 well into the 20th century. It was known as the "Penny Farthing" in England and the "Ordinary" in America.
Rocky Mountain High Wheels has been in the machining and manufacturing business since 1989. We are here to listen to your ideas and make them a reality. We specilize in both High Wheel Bicycle production as well as prototype, design and production of machined parts in our state of the art machine shop. RMHW has an extensive list of references available upon request.

Our first Ordinary bicycle was built in 1985, after purchasing one the previous year from a California company. The bike was of such poor quality that we decided then and there we could not only do better, but that we would do something no one else was doing. We would build an Ordinary using the skills materials, and modern manufacturing techniques available to us. To make the most reliable, lightweight and versatile Penny Farthing EVER.

We quickly sent the bike back to California and set to work. A year later we had our first two High Wheelers. Twenty some years of refining and research has led us to the bicycles we produce today. The most modern Antique bicycle ever. I believe the saying is true, " The bicycle has a great past ahead of it "
